Transforming flat characters and objects into fun 3D Toys

HAVE SOME real FUN–No screens needed!

PaperMade™ makes characters and objects that are flat, pre-cut and pre-scored…
You simply punch them out, fold them up, and turn them into adorable 3D paper toys. No tools, tape or glue needed.
It’s fun and its so easy…even an adult can do it!

OUR STORY

In 2006, we had an idea…

We started making paper board games that punch-out and fold up to 3D using simple structural packaging techniques. 16 books later, PaperMade™ books are sold in 38 countries and we’ve created over 200 unique characters and objects with stories, scenery and attitude!

We admit it, we love paper! And we love bringing everything to life by transforming flat paper into fun, 3D objects. Why? Because it makes people happy—including us ;-)

“Unique! I bought it for my 10-year old daughter…great activity for the kids. Cute and (they) have a lot of character!” –L.K.

Our Mission

To put a smile on your face!
We love it when someone sees PaperMade™ for the first time, their eyes light up with a smile. That makes it all worth it—to spread joy and spark imagination, creativity and play.
That just makes life better, doesn’t it?

PAPERMADE + STEM LEARNING

SCIENCE

Almost every aspect of the development of a PaperMade™ book involves an aspect of STEM. Science plays a part in the printing & production process—the weight and composition of the papers and materials we use, the printing processes and ink “laydown", and the specific characteristics of the papers to bend and fold (while being careful!) without tearing so each character can stand on their own.

TECHNOLOGY

PaperMade™ products come to life thanks to the technology we use—after our initial hand sketches and research, we draw almost every character and object using Adobe Illustrator™ software and sometimes use 3D modeling software to visualize the end product. We rely heavily on technology to communicate with designers, artists and producers across the globe to bring our products to life and into your home.

ENGINEERING

When we say “advanced paper engineering we mean it! We’ve adapted engineering techniques from the packaging industry to our paper toys and have innovated some engineering tricks ourselves, too. After all, if we didn’t have engineering skills, we couldn’t transform a single sheet of paper into so many different kinds of characters and objects with just folds and cuts! While most paper toy products insist on using glue or tape, we embrace engineering a toy that doesn’t need them.

MATH

Math may not be our strong suit but its critical when making a paper toy! We always make sure our measurements, shapes and “forms” are accurate—and math is the only way! Through everything we make and do, we hope to inspire kids (& “big kids,” aka, adults) to understand how a paper toy comes to life!
